SCHAUMBURG, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
American InterContinental University (AIU), a leader in online
education, announced today that its Bachelor of Business Administration
(BBA) and Master
of Business Administration (MBA) degree programs with
specializations in Human Resource Management have renewed their
alignment with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM)’s HR
Curriculum Guidebook and Templates.
SHRM’s guidelines were created to help define HR education standards
taught in university business schools and help educators develop degree
programs that follow these standards. The SHRM alignment underscores the
value of AIU’s specialized programs, which allow students to take more
courses devoted to their field of study, on average, than at other
similar schools.
“This recognition illustrates AIU’s commitment to providing students
with truly career-focused degree programs,” said Dr. Robert Manzer,
Provost and Chief Academic Officer at AIU. “The SHRM alignment follows
numerous reviews and assessments conducted by SHRM that are designed to
ensure that AIU’s human resource specializations are industry current
and cover topics and competencies employers in the human resources
industry value most.”
SHRM’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates were developed to define
content areas that should be studied by HR students. The SHRM validation
means AIU’s Human Resource Management specializations provide students
with the skills needed to be successful human resource professionals.
The reaffirmation is valid through 2020.
“We’re proud to have earned this designation recognizing the quality of
AIU’s BBA and MBA programs, which also are accredited by the
Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP),” Manzer
said.
SHRM is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource
management. Throughout the world, the society has recognized 369
programs in 275 educational institutions as being aligned with its HR
Curriculum Guidebook and Templates.
